Description

On July 17, 1936, the most conservative faction of the Spanish army rebelled against the Republican government and, consequently, started three bloody years of civil war that divided the country between nationalists and republicans. Discover the causes, events, battles, figures of the bellicose conflict that destroyed Spain between 1936 and 1939.

In February of 1936, the triumph of the Popular Front in the national elections signaled the beginning of a series of circumstantial causes (great inequality in the division of wealth, the agricultural situation, etc.) and direct causes (the assassination of Calvo Sotelo, the political attacks, etc.) that pushed Spain towards an unprecedented civil war whose ending would give a final victory to Franco and would establish a long and controversial fascist dictatorship.

The adventure of the Dragon Rapide, the uprising of the Spanish Morocco, Guernica, the events in Barcelona in May 1937, the Franquist unification decree...This book takes a look at the most important factors for understanding the political and military events of the Civil War and focuses on how and why these events occurred. A Brief History of the Civil War is a necessary book for all those who seek a broad understanding of the Spanish conflict. Using a reader-friendly and didactic writing style, Iñigo Bolinaga has managed to bring together all the economic, political, and military factors that are essential for the analysis and understanding of the war that changed the history of Spain.

What is the difference between Adobe EPUB and Adobe PDF?

Adobe EPUB eBooks have reflowable text, which means that you can change the font, resize the text, or alter the size of your display and the text of the Adobe EPUB eBook 'reflows' to fill the screen. This makes Adobe EPUB eBooks the optimal choice for reading eBooks on small screens.

While some PDFs are reflowable on some devices, one of the main strengths of the PDF format is its ability to preserve the layout of complex documents.
